Els De Wit, M.A,is the founder of Talentvol, an organization that supports highly-profoundly gifted children beginning in preschool. Els is a contributor and research associate at the International Gifted Consortium (IGC), Research Center for Highly—Profoundly Gifted and co-author of the international study on the prevalence of overexcitabilities in 88 highly-profoundly gifted children. Els is the author of “Slapende Leeuwen", the first Dutch-language book about highly-profoundly gifted children. Els has taught in higher secondary education for many years, where she was also involved in gifted education. She has completed a training program in Philosophy with children and adolescents. Talentvol operates across all of Flanders, providing highly-profoundly gifted children with what they need most: a space where they can truly be themselves. The organization offers individual programs, group programs, information sessions, and counseling. Her new book, Highly-Profoundly Gifted: Universal Understandings and Holistic Approaches, co-authored with Vanessa R. Wood, Psy.D., will be released Fall of 2025.
